За вікном повільно рухається вітер, у вулицях лунає тупіт босих дитячих ніг, їхній сміх і вигуки переплітаються й котяться м’якою хвилею, торкаючись нашого серця — ці звуки ніколи не приходять, щоб виснажити нас; інколи вони з’являються лише для того, щоб тихо пробудити уроки, заховані в маленьких куточках нашого щоденного життя. Коли ми починаємо прибирати старі стежки в середині серця, десь у невидимій миті, де ніхто не стежить за нами, ми поволі народжуємося знову, і з кожним вдихом здається, ніби до нашого дихання домішується новий відтінок, нове світло. Цей дитячий сміх, ця невинність у їхніх блискучих очах, їхня безумовна ніжність так природно входять у найглибші шари нашого «я» і, мов тихий дощ, освіжають усе, чим ми себе вважали. Якою б довгою не була дорога заблуканої душі, вона не може вічно ховатися в тінях, бо в кожному кутку вже зараз чекає мить нового народження, нового погляду, нового імені. Серед цього гамірного світу саме такі маленькі благословення шепочуть нам у вухо: «Твої корені ніколи не висохнуть до кінця; перед тобою й далі тихо тече ріка Життя, лагідно підштовхуючи тебе назад до твого справжнього шляху, ближче до себе, ближче до дому.»


Слова поволі тчуть нову душу — наче відчинені двері, наче лагідний спогад, наче маленьке послання, наповнене світлом; ця нова душа з кожною миттю підходить до нас ближче й ближче, запрошуючи наш погляд повернутися в центр, у саме серце нашого буття. Байдуже, скільки в нас плутанини й втоми, — у кожному з нас завжди є маленьке полум’я, яке ми несемо в собі; ця невелика іскра має силу зводити любов і довіру докупи в внутрішньому місці зустрічі, де немає контролю, немає умов і немає стін. Кожен день ми можемо прожити, наче нову молитву — не чекаючи гучних знаків із неба; просто сьогодні, у цій самій миті, дозволяючи собі на кілька хвилин сісти в тихій кімнаті нашого серця без страху й поспіху, лише рахуючи вдихи й видихи; у цій простій присутності ми вже полегшуємо тягар землі хоча б на крихту.
