झ्यालबाहिर बिस्तारै हावा चलिरहेछ, गल्लीमा दौडिरहेका बालबालिकाका पाइतालाका आवाज, उनीहरूको हाँसो र उनीहरूको चिच्याहट एक नरम तरङ्गझैँ आएर मनको गहिराइ छुन थाल्छन् — ती ध्वनिहरू सधैं थकित बनाउन आउँदैनन्; कहिलेकाहीँ तिनीहरू केवल हाम्रो दैनिक जीवनका साना कुनाहरूमा लुकेका पाठहरूलाई मृदु रूपमा ब्युँझाउन मात्र आउँछन्। जब हामी हृदयभित्रका पुराना बाटाहरू सफा गर्न थाल्छौँ, कसैले नदेखेको त्यही शान्त क्षणमा हामी फेरि विस्तारै पुनर्निर्मित हुन थाल्छौँ, मानौँ प्रत्येक सासमा नयाँ रङ, नयाँ उज्यालो मिसिँदैछ। बालबालिकाको त्यो हाँसो, उनीहरूको आँखामा चम्किने निर्दोषता, उनीहरूको सहज मधुरता यति स्वाभाविक रूपमा भित्र पस्छ कि हाम्रो सिंगो “म” माथि हल्का वर्षाझैँ ताजगी बर्सिन्छ। आत्मा जति टाढा भौंतारिए पनि, त्यो सधैं छायामै हराइरहन सक्दैन, किनकि प्रत्येक मोडमा नयाँ जन्म, नयाँ दृष्टि, नयाँ नामका लागि यही क्षण पर्खिरहेको हुन्छ। संसारको यो हलचलभित्र यस्तै साना आशीर्वादहरूले चुपचाप कानमा भन्छन् — “तिम्रा जराहरू सुकिसकेका छैनन्; जीवनको नदी अझै तिमीतिरै बगिरहेको छ, तिमीलाई फेरि आफ्नै सत्य मार्गतिर कोमलतापूर्वक बोलाइरहेको छ।”


शब्दहरूले बिस्तारै एउटा नयाँ आत्मा बुनिरहेका छन् — खुला ढोकाजस्तै, कोमल सम्झनाजस्तै, उज्यालोले भरिएको सानो सन्देशजस्तै; त्यो नयाँ आत्मा प्रत्येक क्षण हामीतिर नजिकिँदै, हाम्रो दृष्टिलाई फेरि केन्द्रमा, हृदयको मौन स्थानतिर बोलाइरहेको छ। हामी जतिसुकै अलमलमा भए पनि, प्रत्येक भित्र एउटा सानो ज्योति जीवित नै हुन्छ; त्यही ज्योतिमा प्रेम र विश्वास पुनः भेटिन्छन् — जहाँ नियन्त्रण छैन, सर्त छैन, भित्तो छैन। हरेक दिनलाई हामी नयाँ प्रार्थनाजस्तो बाँच्न सक्छौँ, आकाशबाट ठूलो संकेत कुर्नै नपरी; आज, यही सासमा, हृदयको शान्त कोठाभित्र केही क्षण बस्न आफूलाई अनुमति दिँदै, नडराई, नहतारिई, केवल भित्र पस्ने र बाहिर निस्कने सासलाई महसुस गर्दै। यही सरल उपस्थितिमा पृथ्वीको भार अलिकति हलुका हुन्छ। यदि धेरै वर्षसम्म हामीले आफूलाई “म कहिल्यै पर्याप्त छैन” भनेर सुनाइरहेका थियौँ भने, अब विस्तारै आफ्नै साँचो स्वरमा भन्न सिक्न सक्छौँ: “म अहिले पूर्ण रूपमा यहाँ छु, र यो पर्याप्त छ।” यही कोमल फुसफुसाहटबाट भित्र नयाँ सन्तुलन, नयाँ कोमलता, नयाँ कृपा चुपचाप उम्रिन थाल्छ।
